It’s strange to think that, at the time, it had been recorded around six years ago, since it already felt like something almost ancient.Any AC/DC album up until, let’s say, Flick Of The Switch, could be played in its entirety anytime. So, essentially, any of the earlier AC/DC records could be my all-time favorite.High Voltage just happened to be my first introduction to the band and therefore holds a unique position in my heart.High Voltage Heaven for Amorphis: Amorphis’ album Queen of Time — Live at Tavastia 2021 is out now. ...Día de los Muertos celebrated in East Palo Alto

CAMPO: HOW IT DOES IT YEAR AFTER YEARAmid the celebration after his team’s dramatic comeback victory over rival Acalanes on Friday night, Campolindo coach Kevin Macy stayed on message. In the eyes of the longtime coach, Campo is still the Little School That Could.“We don’t have what everybody else has,” Macy said after his team overcame a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter to beat host Acalanes 25-24 and secure a playoff berth. “But we just have kids that will never quit. That’s the best way I could put it. There’s football players and then there’s kids that play football. We’re just on the side of kids that play football.“They have football players,” Macy added, referring to an Acalanes team that has lightning-fast playmakers Trevor Rogers and Paul Kuhner. “But we just have a tightness in our program. We’re neighborhood kids. We’re not like the schools that bring in all the special talent. So the kids learn how to fight for each other. The Stanford and Cal women’s basketball programs go into their final season of Pac-12 play with something to prove. For Stanford, it’s that a costly 2-3 finish last season was an anomaly and that the Cardinal is underrated now as a result. For Cal, the challenge is to rise above .500 for the first time since 2018-19 in a crucial fifth season under coach Charmin Smith, going into the final year of her contract.A seismic cross-country shift to the ACC is ahead for both in 2024-25, but that’s an issue for another day. Navigating the Pac-12 – with six AP preseason nationally ranked teams and nine projected by ESPN to make the NCAA Tournament – demands full attention.“We love playing against Pac-12 competition,” said Tara VanDerveer, in her 38th season coaching at Stanford and 45th as a collegiate head coach. “It’s sad and hard to believe it’s the last time we’re going to be playing these teams. It’s very surreal for me. But I’m really focused on this year, this team, and having a great se...Latest news
